The Pattern Runeword is one of the Ladder-exclusive Runewords added in patch 2.4. As one of the weapon types, it is only used for the weapon Claw. Its Runes combination is Tal+Ort+Thul, with three slots.
Due to the limitation of claws in the weapon type, we will naturally think of Assassin, which mainly attacks with claws. In fact, Dual Wield Assassins can be called the best build for Pattern Runeword. It will be able to bring a certain block rate bonus, thus giving it the corresponding defense ability. More importantly, it is not limited to blocking physical attacks but can also block almost all elemental attacks in PvM and PvP.
Depending on the Claw weapons that can be crafted at each level, and fit the three sockets or not. Until level 33, Assassins can choose to use the highest level Normal Quality Claws, such as Scissors Katar or Blade Talons. And Quhabs, which are recommended by most players. And after level 33, Greater Claws, Greater Talons or Scissors Quhab will be more suitable as they can have various Assassin skills from levels 1-3.
In general, the combination of Tal+Ort+Thul is not difficult to obtain, these three are relatively low-level Runes, and all of them can start farming with the lowest difficulty of Normal. The following are recommended farming locations:
Tal: Normal+ Countess, Hellforge, and Secret Cows; Act 3 Normal and above. Also, reward from Act V quest Rescue on Mt Arreat.
Ort: Nightmare+ Countess, Normal Hellforge and Secret Cows, Act 4 Normal and above. Also, reward from Act V quest Rescue on Mt Arreat.
Thul: Nightmare+ Countess, Normal Hellforge and Secret Cows, Act 4 Normal and above.
