I recently upgraded all the classes in Dark and Darker and picked the 3 most playable classes based on solo and squad raids. Of course, this may change as the game progresses. Anyway, let’s get started!
Bard
First, let’s start with number three, Bard. Bard’s songs are its splendid weapon. The strongest song in all battles is Shriek of Weakness, which reduces the enemy’s stamina and armor rating. With a Song of Tranquility equipped, you can heal yourself and party members from gray health. This allows them to take no breaks at all during the game.
Because you always want to move, Chaotic Discord will make all enemies around you attack each other for 6 seconds. But beware of the 4 second reforge timer afterwards. This is a great way to help declutter your room.
If you don’t have enough Dark and Darker Gold to get Invisibility Potion, don’t worry at all. Use Song of Shadow to make you and your team invisible and kill all enemies, or just use it as a sneak attack.
Plus, Din of Darkness can be used to damage everything around the caster, which can force the team into a fight-or-flight situation.
In a team, Bard can gain a wide range of buffs, from faster movement and the ability to knock down opponents. There are a few perks you can choose from, but the one that stands out to me is Wanderer’s Luck, which increases your chances of finding better loot.
By the way, Bard was chosen for the third rank, not Warlock. Because Bard brings tremendous utility to the team and itself. But in single player, Warlock can beat Bard, so you can also try Warlock in Goblin Caves.
Fighter
Now, the second Fighter is on the scene. Fighter’s stats are very comprehensive and useful in both single players and squad plays. Shields that give you the ability to stop enemies are very useful in most situations.
The two starting abilities he gives you are Sprint and Second Wind, both of which are powerful. Sprint allows you to move faster in 6 seconds. I found this helpful against Barbarians who were trying to get close and run until their buffs dropped.
Second Wind will give you a lot of health quickly. But it can only be used once, so use it wisely unless you have a campfire.
Of course, Fighter has some other abilities worth checking out, such as this Adrenaline Rush, which allows you to attack quickly in 8 seconds. Victory Strike adds a little damage and possibly healing. Taunts are also useful in teams. Shield Mastery skill helps with blocking more than attacking. It allows you to move faster while blocking and also blocks the next attack 50% faster.
For me, the most surprising perk in Fighter is Weapon Mastery. This allows you to use any weapon throughout the game and use a Crossbow or Longbow for explosions so I have both ranged and melee weapon options.
In team play, Fighter is a very good front line and is difficult to play against in most situations. So be careful if you have to fight a Fighter.

Cleric
The number one class right now is Cleric. He is very useful, able to enhance and heal at the same time. Having a Cleric on your team or playing alone can significantly improve your survivability in a single player. We can use Spell Memory and Judgement, an ability that deals with 25 magic damage and slows a person.
Cleric can also use almost all the same shields as Fighter. In Goblin Caves, Cleric’s Saving Grace is a perk called Protection from Evil, which reduces the duration of debuffs by 50%. This means that if you get hit by a Goblin, the poison won’t last for more than a second or two. By the same token, Rogue trying to poison you is not a problem.
In group games, Cleric can help all classes that can’t heal themselves, and they provide buffs that help everyone live longer.
The reason I chose Cleric over everything else is that he has a skill that kills all Undead around you called Holy Purification. Especially in a Crypt full of Undead monsters, this ability is absolutely insane. It allows you to grab all the enemies in the room and surround them, and it’s a one-hit kill.
Finally, as a side note, both Cleric and Wizard can slowly regenerate all spells by resting, which means you have unlimited healing buffs and spells.
That’s it, I hope you find this helpful and I’m curious what you think of my top 3 classes picks. Let me know what you think and I wish you a happy hunting adventure!
