Today we’re revealing how much XP you can earn from each Dark and Darker dungeon run, and how much experience each enemy gives. If certain actions give you any points, I’d focus on finding out each enemy’s experience point potential. Also, I’ll be looking at which actions give experience and which don’t.
Goblin Caves
We’ll start with Goblin Caves. Because it’s solo, this tends to be the first choice for most players looking to farm XP and Dark and Darker Gold. But I’ll keep it straightforward. Alright, let’s get started.
First we meet Goblin Axemen, Archers, and Swordsmen. They’re called Warriors, and these enemies give you 3 experience points. There’s also Goblin Mage, who uses his Staff to unleash spell attacks. Killing him will give you 4 experience points. If you see some mobs, you’d better clear them all at once. This will give you 10 experience points.
Then we also meet Skeletons, and some Goblin Axemen, Guardsmen, Swordsmen, Crossbowmen, and Spearmen. They will both give you 4 experience points.
Howling Crypts
If you plan to only run through dungeons to gain XP. Then I definitely recommend going to Howling Crypts or even Ruins. There are a lot of Crossbows with special weapons, Double-Handed Swordsman, and Guardsman with shields. Killing them will give you extra experience points.
However, often they are technically harder to beat. Note that killing Skeleton Footman and Archer gives you 3 experience points. But Skeleton Mage will only give you 2.
We’ll also see the normal Death Beetle and Death Skull, which give you 2 experience points. But killing Giant Bats rewards you with 3 experience points, since they are indeed harder to kill. And Mummy will give you 2 experience points.
Even though I didn’t kill any Zombies here, I’m guessing this will also give you 2-3 experience points. Because I think Zombies take a lot of hits and are harder to kill.
Now we also have to fight some red monsters. But for red Goblins, it actually gives you the highest XP bonus. Among them, red Mummy got 5, red Death Skull got 4, and red Goblins gave me 6. But I don’t know if there are other points attached to it, or it’s just a fixed number. But we get good XP here.
No XP For Killing Players
I did also try to check if we could get bonus XP from killing other players. But sadly, this doesn’t give you any XP. So if you fight anyone you know in a PVP situation, you will get zero experience points.
I actually tested it twice. I left the game after the first test, then I tested it again by killing other players and exiting the game through the blue Escape Portal. If you exit from the blue Escape Portal, you will get 2 experience points there.
So when we kill the player and exit the game via Portal, we only get 2 experience points. So I’m pretty sure it’s just to stop teaming up.

Experience Points For Treasure Chests
Another thing I noticed was the experience points from and interacting with chests. Opening a basic chest will give you one experience point, while a Lion’s Chest will give us double that. We also tested whether Barbarian would gain experience points using Crush ability. Unfortunately, if you force punch the chest, you will get zero experience points.
That’s all about XP farming and XP potential of each enemy as I discovered in Dark and Darker. Understanding these XP distributions and drafting a reasonable farming route may help you achieve success faster. Good luck.
