Diablo 4 is the latest and fourth main installment of the Diablo series created by Blizzard. After its announcement at BlizzCon 2019, it gained a lot of popularity and generated a high level of excitement. The game was finally released on June 5, 2023, after much anticipation from many players.
One of the most famous rumors in the Diablo series is Moo Moo Farm, and many players call it Cow Level or Secret Cow Level. I believe most Diablo players have heard of this.
What Is Moo Moo Farm?
Moo Moo Farm was a rumor that started with the first Diablo game in 1997. A player claimed that clicking on one of the cows in the downtown area of the city in the game several times will open a portal to a secret level. There was even a screenshot created by Photoshop showing a red portal to support this rumor. In fact, there was no Moo Moo Farm in the first Diablo game.
However, as the rumors spread more widely, even Blizzard has known these rumors and decided to include Moo Moo Farm in the game. In Diablo 2, Moo Moo Farm has been added and has its official name.
To access Moo Moo Farm, players need to get Wirt's Leg and Tome of Town Portal. Then go to the Rogue Encampment and combine them in the Horadric Cube. Moo Moo Farm is a battle area full of Hell Bovines, a kind of standing cows with two legs and handed weapons in their hands. There is a special big cow called Cow King. If a player kills the Cow King, they won't be able to create another portal to Moo Moo Farm. The change has been made to Diablo 2 Resurrected, so players still could create portals even if the Cow King has been killed.
Moo Moo Farm is popular among players as it provides another way to farm experience and items.
Is There Moo Moo Farm in Diablo 4?
Sadly, there is no Moo Moo Farm in Diablo 4. According to Blizzard's announcement, they hope Diablo 4 has a serious atmosphere, and Moo Moo Farm does not meet such standards.
So, it means that players are missing a way to obtain better equipment. I don't think it is good for players who urgently need more Diablo 4 Gold.
Evidence That Moo Moo Farm Exists
However, players who are interested in Moo Moo Farm do not believe in Blizzard's statement. They believe there is Moo Moo Farm in the game because they have found some evidence.
A player set up a Discord server called "D4 - Not Finding A Cow Level" to share information about Moo Moo Farm in Diablo 4. According to the information shared by players on the server, a cellar called "Forlorn Hovel" appeared in many Diablo 4 map tools during the test before the game launched, but it can't be accessed. If players check the map of the entrance located on the map will see that it looks like a head of a cow.
Well, it seems a bit far-fetched. However, there is more reliable evidence some players also look for information in the game files and find the Metallic Fragment, the Bloody Wooden Shard, and the Musty Tome items, which are believed to be used to enter Moo Moo Farm, just like Wirt's Leg and Tome of Town Portal in Diablo 2.
Some things have also been found in the game. A fountain located in the Ked Bardu location is surrounded by cow statues. When you click one of them, it displays the message: "The Oxen Gods stand as guardians to this sacred fountain. It is said that one who presents a worthy offering cleansed in these waters may gain their blessing." this so suspicious because players believe that the "blessing" is related to the way of entering Moo Moo Farm.
Anyway, Moo Moo Farm has not been found in the game yet. I believe Blizzard stated that there is no Moo Moo Farm. However, Blizzard also said that as development continues, things will change. With all this evidence, I believe Moo Moo Farm will appear in future updates.
