Hi everyone, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to farm Helltides efficiently and get the maximum amount of Living Steel. Let’s start!
Complete Events
First, when you enter Helltides, you need to check how much time we left until the hour. This is the time for you to farm and open the two Living Steel chests. As you know, Living Steel reset on the hour, so you will open two more Living Steel chests after the reset.
Next you have to find two or three relatively close events on the Helltides map. Once you find the area, it’s easy. All you have to do is run back and forth between these event locations and complete as many events as possible. You must complete every event you see, as this is the best way to collect Aberrant Cinders.
When you are completing events, you must prioritize mob spawning over completing the event as quickly as possible. This way, you can maximize your Aberrant Cinder’s earnings.
You can optimize your route by killing all mobs between the event locations of your choice. This will further increase the number of Aberrant Cinders you earn over time. Of course, the premise is that you need to spend a lot of Diablo 4 Gold to upgrade your character quickly.
Living Steel Chests Locations
Once the time approaches, you need to check the chest’s locations. There is currently a bug where the chest may be lost. If you encounter this error, you have two options: you can log back in, or you can teleport to town and back, and the chests will reappear. You may need to try these fixes several times before they work.
Now you must open both Living Steel chests before the hour is up, or they will be lost. Likewise, at the end of the hour, Living Steel chests and Mystery chests will respawn. So, after you open these two chests, you will open two more chests at the end of the hour. And the time you open them must be the time Helltides have left.
Therefore, you must start farming Aberrant Cinders again until you have the 600 Aberrant Cinders required to open two additional chests at the end of the hour.
Farming Tips
Also, here are some tips about farming that need to be explained.
First, when you farm, you should only turn on red glowing objects, as they will usually contain multiple Aberrant Cinders.
Beyond that, you absolutely can’t die, because once you die, you lose half of your Aberrant Cinders, which is an enormous waste of time.
Finally, I recommend doing it in groups if you can because it’s faster. When you have collected the last two boxes of Cinders, find their locations in time and open the boxes.
Be aware that your time will again be limited. Now it’s limited by Helltides timer, so you have to open these chests before Helltides end or you’ll lose your Cinders.
How Many Living Steel Chests Can You Find?
Finally, I want to talk about the number of chests you can open this way. Usually you can open 2+2 treasure chests before and after the hour, which is equivalent to 12 Living Steel for each Helltide.
However, the maximum number is 3+3 chests, which represent Kehjistan Helltide, where three chests appear on the map at the same time. This equates to 18 Living Steel for each Helltide you get, which is the optimal value.
On the other hand, if Helltide starts and ends at exact times, the minimum number of chests you can get is two, with no reset. This will leave you with only six Living Steel per Helltide. Hope it’s useful for you. See you next time!
