Minion Necromancer upgrade build is the most laid back upgrade build I have ever played! If you prefer a more relaxed play style, I highly recommend trying this upgraded build of Necromancer.

Minions do most of the work for you while also serving as a transfer for higher survivability. With the right skills, passive skills, Diablo 4 items, and Legendary Aspects, you’ll beat Diablo 4 dungeons in no time.

Necromancer also has some of the best transmogs in Diablo 4. This is definitely a good reason to play it.

Skill

Next, let’s review the skills of Minion Necromancer build.

• Our basic skill is Reap, which we will use to spawn corpses.
• Sever is an awkward core skill, but its base damage is very high.
• Corpse Explosion uses corpses to create Miasma Pools.
• Corpse Tendrils use corpses to attract surrounding enemies.
• Raise Skeleton turns corpses into minions. If you have the maximum number of skeletons, it will summon a Skeletal Priest to heal your minions.
• Golem skills will make your Golems use their active abilities.

Skill Tree

For our skill tree, we use Acolyte’s Reap and Unliving Energy as stepping-stones. Reaching 3 points of Imperfectly Balanced can help us get additional core skill damage. Supernatural Sever only has 1 point and Hewed Flesh has 3 points to get more bodies.

Gain 5 points for Miasma Pools’ Blight Corpse Explosion. 1 skill point in Grim Harvest serves as a stepping stone, while 3 skill points in Fueled By Death can help us deal more damage.

Death’s Embrace has 3 points for damage and damage reduction. Skeletal Mage Mastery 3 points for more health and damage from Skeletal Mage. Plagued Corpse Tendrils 5 points and Necrotic Carapace 1 point for fortify.

Finally, keystone Shadowblight allows Corpse Explosion to synergize with our minions to deal even more damage.

Book Of The Dead

Necromancer has a unique system called “Book of the Dead”. This book allows you to choose variations of Skeleton and Golem, each with their own special bonuses and attacks. As you level up, you automatically unlock various Skeleton and Mage options.

When you reach level 25, you will unlock a priority quest to access your Golem. When you have the ability, you can switch your Skeletal Warriors to Reapers and use the second option to get extra corpses.

For Skeletal Mages, choose the second option of Shadow Mages for a special double attack. For Golems, I prefer Blood Golem with the second option for extra damage and reduced damage. But another popular choice is Bone Golem, for extra corpse spawning.

Legendary Aspects

To really get the extra damage, you need to take advantage of some Legendary Aspects. Keep an eye out for Blood Getter’s Aspect and Viscous Aspect, which increase the maximum number of skeletons you can have at one time.

Pick up Blighted Aspect from Akkhan’s Grasp in Hawezar and trigger Shadowblight 10 times to increase the damage.

Completing Scosglen’s Aldurwood will unlock Aspect of Reanimation, which increases your minion damage. Aspect of Frenzied Dead increases the attack speed of your minions by up to 42%.

Gameplay & Tips

Next, let’s talk about some quick tips for playing Minion Necromancer.

Most battles start with a basic attack and immediately press Corpse Tendrils and Corpse Explosion. Once the team starts dying, spam Corpse Explosion to eliminate all remaining enemies to harvest massive amounts of Diablo 4 Gold.

It capped your Miasma Pools at 5 pools, which you’ll need to deal with tougher enemies, especially later in the leveling process. You can use Sever and Golem Active abilities to deal extra damage to enemies when necessary.

After taking out a group of enemies, make a habit of clicking Raise Skeleton as you move from one group to another to keep your minions’ health at peak levels. This idea becomes even more important as the game enters its final stages. Minion Necromancer becomes very difficult to play if you can’t keep your minions alive.

Equipment affixes aren’t too important in the leveling process, but they can help a lot if you can find them.

If you’re having trouble keeping your minions alive, it’s important to find any gear that has the most minion health. Some equipment can also produce summoning skill damage.

In most builds, you want to have levels in your core skills on gloves. But on Minion Necromancer, you need to be leveled with Corpse Explosion on the pants and Corpse Tendrils on the feet.

On our weapons, we really want to have Vulnerable Damage and DOT. In terms of accessories, we also need to look for Damage Reduction, Movement Speed and Vulnerable Damage. Beyond that, any widget with intelligence or full stats would be a great addition.

It’s fast during the early stages of leveling up, but remember not to hold your leveling back by focusing on stats and spending too much time on menus.

To complete the build, we placed purple gems on our weapons for extra damage over time and red gems on our armor for extra max health.
