Diablo 4: Skills Layout Of The Updated Endgame Best Barbarian
Jul 13, 2023

Source: MMOWTS

Today I'm going to bring you a pretty much perfected build, of what I believe to be the single best Barbarian build in the game. Not only is it probably the best Barbarian Build, but it's definitely one of the best build just overall in Diablo 4.

Diablo 4

Intro

You can do unbelievable amounts of damage with this build, literally running around just one tapping bosses, but you can actually do up to even like 90 million per Hammer the Ancients, and if you had like actually perfect gear you could easily pass over the 100 mil mark there.

The damage is just unbelievably strong with this build, but not only do you have crazy damage, you also literally have a quick movement speed at all times. Just flying through the map able to just clear things, ridiculously quickly, you're actually unstoppable pretty much permanently so you can't really get crowd controlled which is fantastic quality of life. But also your survivability is just ridiculous Barbarian just has a ton of inherent survivability build into the class, which just makes the build overall a blast to play it doesn't really need all that much gear to really get going, either the strength is really just built into how everything functions at a base level.

So you can just slap the build together and boom, it's very hard to die you do ridiculous amounts of damage, and you're just flying around the map just annihilating everything. It also an help you get a lot of Diablo 4 Gold quickly. As you guys can pretty easily see the build is unbelievably strong, so the following mainly introduces you to the skills aspect of this build.

Skills

Lunging Strike

The main reason for this there's actually multiple reasons.

The first one is that it gives a lot of Fury generation so when you're just starting out with the build it's fantastic for just giving you more consistency with the build. But it also gives you a lot of movement speed being able to just jump from enemy to enemy which is fantastic, it also gives you higher uptime on Berserking. But there's multiple reasons to keep using this even into the late game, for damage purposes.

Diablo 4 Strike

Another reason is with expectant expectant simply just gives us 10 increased damage anytime we use a basic skill, so we're going to be doing that pretty often because we are incentivized to build Fury prior to spending our Hammer of the Ancients. So with this build we end up going Lunging try camera the entrance and there's multiple reasons for that.

So expectant is one of them basically giving us just 10 extra damage. But also if we are using aspect of might, we just boom that's 20 damage reduction literally all the time. Just by using our Lunging Strike which is a fantastic survivability addition there. We also have an unbelievably strong glyph, in the form of mortal draw, or anytime that we use a skill that swaps weapons, we actually benefit from a massive additive damage increase, but also it means that skill has a 18 increased chance to critically strike.

So all we have to do is just set our Lunging Strike to like a slicing weapon or something because our Hammer of the Ancients is a bludgeoning weapon, so it counts as a different weapon type, and pretty much you just Lunging Strike, and then Hammer the Ancients and you get a massive damage increase.

So that's why we're still using Lunging Strike, you can decide to take it off if you want. But you pretty much need to reorient the build, and personally I think it's worth it. Especially if you don't have the build perfectly set up, it just makes your downtime significantly better, your Fury generation is way better, and there's so many reasons to use it right.

Hammer Of The Ancients

Then we have Hammer of the Ancients. Hammer of the Ancients of course is the main purpose of the build, it does a ridiculous amount of damage mainly, because you can scale up your maximum Fury to increase the overall damage output, that you can achieve with this. So not only does does it just do do a ton of damage to start out with, because of quake legendary, but also as you get higher level, the builds will simply just scale up even better and better as you're able to get more max Fury on your Diablo 4 Items.

War Cry & Challenging Shout & Rallying Cry

For the remainder of the skills, pretty much with any Barbarian Build, ideally you want to have triple shouts the reason for this is it gives you a crazy amount of Fury generation you get permanent uptime on berserking which is just damage, movement speed, and the resource generation through your shouts is unbelievably strong. Also you have two legendaries that just give your shouts, or there's one legendary that makes you have just pretty much infinite Fury, whenever we use our shouts.

Diablo 4 War Cry

So our goal is to pretty much you know shout 247. If you've played a barbarian you know how good the shouts are Challenging Shout gives you 54% damage reduction. I mean what what is that dude like these are crazy good.

Wrath Of The Berserker & Ground Stomp

When it comes to your last skill you have multiple options. I was using a Wrath of the Berserker, we actually swapped to Ground Stomp here. The reason for this is just because you can get a little bit more damage, if you stun enemies, and if you're doing higher content with Mobs that are very tanky, being able to just stun them guaranteed is nice to be able to easily. You know pretty much guarantee yourself a one shot on a lot of enemies, and it's also nice survivability, but rather Berserker is fantastic as well.

Diablo 4 Wrath Of The Berserker

This is just a little bit more uptime, it doesn't really matter use whatever you prefer rather, Berserker just gives you a pretty good amount of extra damage whenever you pop it. It's probably I'd probably recommend Wrath of the Berserker when the build isn't like fully set up, because this just gives you more uptime on like berserking, and other stuffs. If you don't have 100 uptime on your shouts, but once you get later into the build, you'll end up having your shouts up all the time. In which case Ground Stomp actually becomes pretty nice iron skin you could decide to use for more survivability you could even go for leap for more Mobility, if you wanted to doesn't really matter all that much the last skill slot is pretty optional.
