Noble’s Slender Sword is one of the hardest items to farm in Elden Ring, especially since it only has a 0.5% drop rate at 100 Item Discovery. But its powerful damage buff is something that most builds will need, so don’t miss out on this powerful weapon if you want to make a splash in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, which releases on June 21st.
In this guide, I show a great spawn spot where 7 nobles wield this weapon. The best part is that this location is accessible from the very beginning of the game, just a little south of Caelid Highway South Site of Grace.
If you try to farm this Straight Sword, I highly recommend using anything you can to increase your Item Discovery, as farming this item is a perpetual pain. Without further ado, let’s get started!
Noble’s Slender Sword vs Noble’s Estoc
Before we start farming, let me show you the difference between Noble’s Slender Sword and Noble’s Estoc. They are very similar, especially when you find them in the hands of nobles wandering around Lands Between, and you can easily confuse the two.
There are some differences, such as length and engravings, and the easiest way to spot the difference between the two is to look at the hilt. If it has this V-shape towards the tip of the sword, like Claymore or Gerald’s Swords in Witcher, it’s Noble’s Slender Sword. Noble’s Estoc has a rounded, slim, and beautifully decorated hilt. This is the easiest way to identify the difference between the two at a glance.
The best place to farm Noble’s Estoc is at Rampartside Path Site of Grace, located on Altus Plateau. From this site, all you have to do is look south towards a wall and you’ll see some nobles doing something, and the one who dropped Estoc is to the right of the one holding the torch.
So all you have to do is hop on Torrent, jump over these rocks and head straight to the noble, knock out the noble that dropped Estoc, see if he drops the loot, then run back to Site of Grace and repeat.
Farming Noble’s Slender Sword
With that out of the way, let’s take a look at the best places to farm Noble’s Slender Sword.
Like I mentioned before, Caelid Highway South is not only the best place to farm this Straight Sword, but it’s available from the very beginning of the game. You just need Torrent to get there.
First, you need to reach Caelid Highway South Site of Grace, which is located in Ohio. From this Site of Grace, you need to keep heading south until you find a bunch of Sarcophagi. Arriving at this place, you’ll be greeted by not just two or three Nobles to collect “scrap” from the ground, but a full seven! All of them wield Noble’s Slender Sword.
This means you have seven chances to get these Nobles to drop this Straight Sword, but you mostly won’t get it right away. So be prepared.
Farming Tips
Now let’s look at the traps in this farming location, but luckily, they are fairly small.
First of all, the number of nobles in this location is not 7, but 8. I mean, it’s actually 7 because the eighth is actually a trap.
This noble, wearing a Peter Pan hat and kneeling in a corner somewhere in the middle, is one of those disguised enemies. When you hit them, they transform into a stronger enemy. In this case, this giant will attack you wielding a flaming Greatsword.
The good news is that this can be completely avoided by simply not killing that particular noble. However, if you are high enough level or want some challenge, the giant will reward you with a Larval Tear after you die.
For the second problem, which is even secondary, is that I currently have no way of finding a quick way to eliminate these nobles. I have tried using Sacred Relic Sword skill to see if it can eliminate all the nobles at once. Sadly, not only does it not, but in some cases it makes the situation worse because it throws their bodies away like playing Gmod.
I also tried Hoarfrost Stomp, Greyoll’s Roar, and even Elden Stars, and I expected these spells to come in handy at least once in this game, but even so, they didn’t fulfill this wish.
Therefore, the best way to kill them is to board Torrent and create a route you feel comfortable with, kill them all, and then run back to Site of Grace.
If you don’t use Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot, it will be faster to fast travel to Site of Grace. But I strongly recommend that you not only use it, but any other method that can increase Item Discovery.
Outro
The above is all the information we need to know when farming Noble’s Slender Sword. Although the drop rate of this legendary weapon is extremely low, as long as you master these methods and techniques, I believe that the RNG gods will always favor you and bring you excellent results! Wish you good luck!
