Welcome back to my Elden Ring guide. In this guide, I’ll be showing you my Death’s Poker build, focusing on using Ash of War Ghostflame Ignition weapon skill.

Overview

Death’s Poker is a great sword that mainly relies on Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence scaling. The weapon itself requires 15 Strength, 17 Dexterity and 11 Intelligence to function.

Death’s Poker is a powerful weapon, but it’s also heavy, weighing in at 8.5. This weapon has a weapon skill called Ghostflame Ignition. With this skill, you can thrust your sword forward and burn the tip with Ghostflame skill.

Follow up with a normal attack to set the ground on fire with Ghostflame, or a powerful attack to cause a massive explosion. The explosion causes physical and fire damage to enemies, and also inflicts Frostbite.

This is a powerful skill that can cause a lot of damage to enemies, but FP consumption is also quite expensive.

Death’s Poker

Death’s Poker is dropped at night by Death Rite Bird and is located southeast of Southern Aeonia Swamp Bank Site of Grace.

Sorceries

For Sorceries, using Terra Magica increases magic damage by 35% within the spherical zone it creates. This is a powerful magic that can increase the attack power of Ghostflame Ignition skill. So it is very necessary to invest more Elden Ring Runes in this spell to improve the overall statistics.

Staff

For Staff, you can use a basic Staff such as Glintstone Staff. This Staff drops from a lone Noble Sorcerer south of Waypoint Ruins.

Talismans

You can also use some talismans to increase the attack power of this build. Paired with Bull-Goat’s Talisman, it can increase your Poise damage by 33%. Next, using Shard of Alexander can increase the attack power of Ghostflame Ignition skill by 15%.

Another type with Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman can reduce physical damage taken by 20%. Last but not least, Magic Scorpion Charm increases magic damage by 12% and physical damage by 10%.

Crystal Tears

You can also use a combination of two Crystal Tears to temporarily boost your status. Among them, paired with Opaline Hardtear, it can temporarily increase the damage offset of all physical damage by 15% for 3 minutes. Another piece of Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear can temporarily increase magic attack power to +20% for 3 minutes.

Armor

For armor, this Beast Champion Set can provide our character with excellent protection and increase your Poise damage.

Stats

The above equipment can meet the basic requirements of Death’s Poker build, and I put most of the attributes on intelligence to increase my attack power.

In this build, in order to increase the damage of Ghostflame Ignition skill, I made adjustments to its base stats:

• Mind 25
• Endurance 30
• Strength 15
• Dexterity 17
• Intelligence 82
• Faith 10
• Arcane 10

The way this build works is that first you consume Crystal Tears, and cast Terra Magica. You can then use Ghostflame Ignition skill to cause a massive explosion for a quick win!
