As we all know, Elder Scrolls Online launched in 2014, taking players into the land of Tamriel, inviting players into an MMORPG environment where they can explore, complete quests and start their own stories.
As with most RPGs, players are usually rewarded with items for their in-game actions, most importantly Gold. Gold is the currency in Elder Scrolls Online, players can use it to purchase items from vendors. While players can get some ESO Gold by completing quests, it's not wasteful and must be used sparingly.
Here I break down for you everything you shouldn't use Gold in ESO and why.
5. Mount
In Elder Scrolls Online, players may find it a bit cumbersome to run from one place to another. Players may want to buy themselves a Mount to speed up their movement and at the same time be able to quickly explore the glorious Tamriel continent.
However, players can get free Mount at level 10, which is often overlooked by many players! This free mount may not be the fastest in the game, but it's the most direct way to save Gold.
Unlike buying a new Mount, players invest this Gold in Mount training to improve speed, carrying capacity or endurance. You can go to any stable and pay 250 Gold, choose which attributes you want to increase, but after a few operations, your Mount should be leveling up at full speed!
4. Armor
Spending money on a better Armor is something most players will do, especially if the fight seems particularly difficult, or if their character is a weaker Class, but in reality it can be a huge waste of money.
This is probably a common mistake players make in the game, the longer you play the more you realize how generous the game's Armor gifting is, Armor you get will duplicate the Armor you bought, which can save you a ton of gold. Whether you're doing it through level rewards, loot, or even daily rewards, you're guaranteed to be able to build a pretty decent set of Armor just from free items.
3. Weapons
It is important for players to have a good Weapon in ESO, and a good Weapons can make all the difference. Players are well compensated in the game through some levels and daily rewards, and the time invested in the game, you'll end up with some pretty powerful Weapons, and upgrades you'll find throughout the game, either through loot or rewards.
2. Potions
Potions are a useful resource that players will use as they explore the world of Tamriel, and are especially useful during critical moments in combat. There are countless Potions you can choose from, and each Potions has a different role.
While every player should have at least a few, Potions are often given as daily rewards and can often be obtained on loot. So while they're super useful resources, you don't need to waste money on Potions because they're extremely easy to get in-game.
1. Buff Food
Buff Food refers to consumables that players can obtain in Elder Scrolls Online. They usually come in the form of daily rewards and are relatively easy items to obtain. Buff Food can provide buffs to players for a certain period of time, and some items can even increase XP for a few hours. But it's best to avoid spending money on Buff Food, as you'll usually get them for free.
But if you want to quickly level up in the game, Buff Food is a great option.
Elder Scrolls Online has a lot of valuable stuff that you can choose to buy, but there's also a lot to offer you through rewards and loot, the ones I've listed above are to make sure you don't have to waste Gold buying these, you can spend them on something worthwhile.
