Genshin Impact 4.2: A Complete Guide To C2 Furina! - DPS, Artifacts, Weapons & Teams
Oct 07, 2023

Source: MMOWTS

Welcome everyone, here I will share with you my Furina C2 field guide. In this guide, I will try to fully explain Artifact options for her C2 and what stats you should be looking for. I’ll also cover weapons and compare her top picks with free-to-play alternatives. Lastly, is team composition to maximize Furina’s damage.

Now I would like to remind you that the information about Furina and the numbers mentioned in this guide are likely to change. For those who want to play Furina as their main Hydro damage dealer on the field, this guide may be helpful.

Genshin Impact 4.2: A Complete Guide To C2 Furina! - DPS, Artifacts, Weapons & Teams

Basic C2 Explanation

But here’s a brief explanation of what her C2 does. When Furina casts elemental skills, she will enter a state of concentration. In this state, it infused her normal attacks and charged attacks with Hydro and deal 15% additional damage to her maximum health.

While in this state, Furina can trigger up to 7 effects based on her Arkhe Alignment, one every 0.1 seconds. So her normal attack will hit 7 times and take 6 to 7 seconds.

During Ousia Alignment, each hit restores health to all party members. During Pneuma Alignment, it will further increase her normal attack damage by 15% of her maximum health. Each attack will consume 1% of the health of all party members, allowing you to use the Marechausee Hunter.

Pneuma Summoning will also heal your active character in Genshin Impact Account. Once your active character is fully healed, Furina’s passive talent transfers the healing effect to another character. Therefore, Pneuma also becomes a better combination with Furina’s C2 on the field.

Furina’s Elemental Burst increases its damage for every Fanfare Point gained. When your party member’s health changes, Furina will gain one Fanfare Point for every 1% change. Both damage and healing bonuses increase with Fanfare Points.

It’s also important to note that with C1, you’ll gain 150 Fanfare Points starting from her Burst, and the maximum amount of Fanfare Points increases to 650 points.

Artifacts

I would like to start by explaining why we use Marechausee Hunter. At Constellation 0, Furina treats most field damage as elemental skill damage. So the immediate choice would be Golden Troupe.

But things change at C2, where you can enable unique playing styles on the field. And Golden Troupe four-piece requires you to be on the sidelines.

Genshin Impact: Splendor of Still Waters and Marechausee Hunter critical damage examples

Furina’s C2 can make full use of Marechausee Hunter. Because her Pneuma Alignment drains HP during her C2 focus center. The extra critical chance you get from Marechausee Hunter is huge, more than enough to outshine other sets.

But you shouldn’t discard Golden Troupe with C2. Her elemental summons can still do a lot of damage. Because her C2 does not explicitly treat Hydro injection as elemental skill damage. Therefore, compared to Marechausee Hunter, she will perform worse when using Golden Troupe as her main DPS.

But for this guide, we’re focusing on maximizing Furina’s damage while focused. Marechausee Hunter will be her best choice in the slot.

Another Artifacts set I saw was the 4-piece Heart of Depth. But the effect bonus of the 4-piece Heart of Depth is not enough to exceed the additional 36% critical strike chance of Marechaussee Hunter.

Energy Recharge will be a pain for Furina. Because she produces Electro Particles similar to Yae Miko from summons. Even though Furina has an energy cost of 70, she will eventually require more Energy Recharge. In order to explode with Hydro support in the field, you need 170-200 Energy Recharge.

As for Crit Rolls, with Marechaussee Hunter you will naturally prioritize critical hit damage. Because you get 60% critical chance from the 4-piece bonus and Furina’s boost bonus.

But you still need critical hit chance, so don’t shy away from critical hit chance. A suitable target would be 85% critical hit chance. You can gain so much while gaining energy and critical damage.

Weapons

For C2 damage dealer Furina, 5-star weapons really shine, especially those that increase max health. Such as Key of Khaj-Nisut, Primordial Jade Cutter and her signature weapon, Splendor of Still Waters.

In this chart, I calculated the substats. In the higher investment Furina Build, Splendor of Still Waters will be her best weapon choice in the slot. Primordial Jade Cutter’s failure was mainly due to its high critical hit rate.

Genshin Impact 4.2: C2 Furina Weapons chart

In a medium to high investment build, Splendor of Still Waters will outperform Primordial Jade Cutter. And Key of Khaj-Nisut will be matched with Primordial Jade Cutter.

Another outlier here is R5 Harbinger of Dawn. While it does provide critical damage and critical chance, it requires you to have over 90% health. This will be very tricky with Furina running out of health, if you can manage it. You will most likely lose your entire team to damage.

But it’s still a good choice, mainly because of its critical damage sub-stat. Without its passive, it would fall behind what I consider being the best free-to-play Furina C2 damage weapon, Blackcliff Longsword. Mainly because its critical hit damage and attack buff are not very consistent.

Blackcliff Longsword is more suitable for field DPS and C0 elemental skill damage. Mainly because their passive skills don’t add damage and energy refill sub-stats. But you can still use recharge weapons to mitigate recharge requirements and focus on critical hit chance and damage.

Teams

The third and final part of this guide is team selection.

For a C0 Furina that deals skill damage, you need a healer. But that’s not the case in her C2. During Ousia Alignment, Furina herself can use normal attacks to heal. During Pneuma Alignment, we will summon a healer. And her Elemental Burst will increase the healing bonus.

So for Hypercarry Furina, you don’t need a healer like you do with elemental skill support Furina.

In addition to Furina, you will need another Hydro unit to activate Hydro Resonance, which increases max HP by 25% and generates additional Hydro Energy Particles.

Hydro’s two main backers are Yelan and Xingqui. Yelan increases the damage of one of the active character’s passive skills, and C2’s Xingqui reduces water resistance by 15%. Both are powerful and you should use either one. But Yelan is a stronger option.

Yelan needs a Favonius Warbow on this team to generate extra energy. Besides Furina and Yelan, there are many options to consider.

Although Bennett is a good support unit, it does not provide much benefit to Furina. Kaedehara Kazuha can reduce the resistance of Viridescent Venerer Artifact Set and increase elemental damage through his burst and passive skills.

Vaporize reactions would be the best way to increase Furina’s damage. Having a character like Xiangling who can use Pyro off the field will increase Furina’s vaporize damage. If Furina herself is the one who triggers Vaporize reaction by applying Hydro, 2x multiplies the damage.

Therefore, the best Hypercarry Furina team will consist of Yelan, Kaedehara Kazuha, and Xiangling. But this is just a theoretical team composition. In order to find her optimal rotation, we have to actually play against Furina. But we can’t do that until she comes out.

That’s it for my C2 Furina guide. If you follow this guide for a Furina build, she will deal decent damage. Good luck!
