In Genshin Impact 2.0, you will encounter many new enemies, the most exciting of which can be said to be Mirror Maiden, aka a Fatui Mirror Maiden. They are the new elite enemies in the game, and they will drop exclusive materials upon defeat.
You can only find Mirror Maidens in Inazuma, and use a Hydro Delusion to command a Hydro Mirror in battle. MMOWTS will tell you where to find them and how to defeat them.
What do Mirror Maidens look like?
Mirror Maiden looks like a woman in blue, surrounded by mirrors, which makes her very different from the other enemies in the game.
Where to find Mirror Maidens?
You can find them in the following areas:
* Around the central and northern areas of Narukami Island
* In certain spots in the northern region of Yashiori Island
* In the central region of Kannazuka
The abilities of Mirror Maidens
In Genshin Impact, Mirror Maidens use their Hydro Delusion abilities to fight and can be teleport through their Hydro Mirror. The following are their abilities:
* Waterwheels: Summons three lines of water that form mirror shards on the ground. These shards spin rapidly with water, dealing burst Hydro damage.
* Hydro Bullets: Shoots up to three Hydro Bullets at the player, dealing Hydro damage.
* Ripple Rain: Shoots water into the air that falls down in three splashes, dealing Hydro damage.
* Glass Cage: Summons small mirror shards around the player, trapping the player and dealing low Hydro Damage.
* Laser Zone: Summons three Hydro Bullets that orbit around the Mirror Maiden and player. Mirrors appear to reflect a laser that deals AoE Hydro damage, followed by a second burst of Hydro damage.
* Mirror Portal: Summons a mirror that closes behind the Mirror Maiden, transporting her somewhere around the area.
Many Fatui Mirror Maiden attacks apply the Refraction status. This effect can be indicated by 4 small mirror shards on the character. When you are affected by this, Mirror Maiden will enter a Polarization state. This allows her to use most of her abilities. Mirror Maiden can only use Mirror Portal, Waterwheels, and Hydro Bullets when it is not in the Polarization state.
How to defeat Mirror Maidens?
To fight against a Hydro enemy, choosing Pyro and Cryo characters will be suitable. The Cryo characters allow Maiden to be continuously frozen, preventing her from landing attacks. Pyro characters will deal the most damage and can use Vaporize Reaction to cause additional damage.
Pyro or Anemo characters can remove the Refraction debuff. Anemo characters with good mobility like Kazuha or Venti can also evade Mirror Maiden's attacks and avoid Glass Cage.
Mirror Maidens will not only drop 3- and 4-star artifact sets, but also Prisms. Dismal, Crystal, and Polarizing Prisms are exclusive items of Mirror Maiden, which can be used as weapon ascension materials. These Prisms are necessary for some of Inazuma’s best new weapons (Hakushin Ring, Hamayumi, and Thundering Pulse). So if you need to build characters with these weapons, then look for Mirror Maidens.
