Faced with Lords of the Fallen’s shaky response, the developers are working flat out releasing patch after patch to fix performance issues and gameplay issues. The latest update, “Pumpkin Patch,” adds a new Halloween-themed quest and other much-needed changes.

Players can unlock an exclusive helmet by completing a new seasonal mission: unsettling Pumpkin Mask. Additionally, Mournstead is decorated with spooky seasonal cosmetics to spice things up.

This Halloween event is available for players to take part starting from October 26th and will last until November 2nd. Players who want some extra Umbral Scouring and the new exclusive Pumpkin Helmet can get it by solving a ride. 

To help you complete this Halloween event, we’ve put together instructions on how to get Pumpkin Mask and complete the challenge with ease.

Soulflay Object Location

To get Pumpkin Helmet in Lords of the Fallen, players need to solve the five clues in the riddle in the patch notes. In order to complete this task more easily, you need to visit the following five places. Note that you need to be in Umbral to find these places.

Redcopse Village Entrance

From Windmill Vestige, run along the road back to the square, where there are several wooden cross-weapon wielders and a large tree. At the far end of the tree, you’ll find a lot of destructible stuff that you can break down and then find a Soulflay object behind it.

Skyrest Bridge

If you haven’t done so already, unlock Skyrest Bridge’s secret area by getting “Skyrest Bridge Key” icon. Use the key to open the door near where you got the key, then enter the area where Tortured Prisoner is.

In that area, go through the fence that you can use Umbral to bypass. Walk along Umbral Bridge, then on the right you will find a Soulflay object, get close to it and you will get “Princess’ Sting” icon.

Pilgrim’s Pearch

Next, we headed to Vestige called Pathway at the bottom of Manse of The Hallowed Brothers. Then take the elevator down to Pilgrim’s Pearch, get off the elevator and climb up the ladder next to the two crossbowmen.

When you get up, be careful of the mage on the other side of the plank and the mage hiding behind the boss on the right. When they’re dead, enter Umbral and look for a Soulflay object under the planks near the intersection.

Forsaken Fen

From Fen Vestige, take the shortcut next to the small water you need to wade across. When you enter the village guarded by Shuja Warrior, immediately enter Umbral and climb Umbral ladder. Follow it until you reach a burning pathway and find Soulflay object in the fire.

If there are no shortcuts, just follow the path, cross the bridge, and enter the large body of water. After entering the village, climb up to the roots of the tree where Shuja Warrior stands. This will take you to the shortcut to connect to your Vestige.

Fief Of The Chill Curse

Finally, the fastest way to reach Fief of the Chill Curse is to head to Vestige at the end of the area next to Hallow Crow Beacon boss. Go through the boss arena and go down the ladder, then go through this Beacon area and go down the ladder again.

When you leave here, enter Umbral and walk through the once flooded area to your left. Go down the path and you’ll find a Soulflay door blocker that can be opened. Turn right and follow the narrow road to Soulflay object.

If you need help and have enough LotF Vigor budget, bring “Briostone” icon as you won’t be able to use regular healing items. And it does exactly the same thing as the max Dread boss enemy that chases you.

How To Get Pumpkin Helmet?

In Lords of the Fallen, defeating bosses yield a Pumpkin Helmet, a new Tinct, and several other rewards. Go to Hushed Saint Boss area in Fen and peel off the last pumpkin to spawn a new mini-boss.

When you have all five Soulflay objects, you must return to Skyrest Bridge and get Hushed Saint’s Armor for yourself.

From there, we also head to Forsaken Fen and Hamlet Vestige on the border of Fitzroy’s Gorge before returning to where we fought Hushed Saint. Enter Umbral area and you’ll find a pumpkin in the middle. This will summon a boss that is a Crimson Specter re-skinned.

This boss will go underground and jump out at you as usual, using slow cleaving attacks and rapid spin attacks. You’ll need to dodge backwards from its slower attacks and sideways when it performs its spinning dash attack. Rinse and repeat until you kill it.

When a boss is defeated, you’ll receive a mask, some souls, and other lootable items. Congratulations, you will complete Lords of the Fallen Halloween event and receive Pumpkin Helmet.
