The Katana builds is absolutely the one of the most popular and strong builds in Elden Ring, so today the Moonveil is the main character that I would like to introduce to you, and guide you how to become a moon samurai in the game.

Moonveil Katana was one of the best weapons to use in Elden Ring, this has to be the best in slot weapon for any intelligence or dexterity build. The Moonville Katana has extremely high physical and magic attack power, with both intelligence and dexterity. But the real reason why this this weapon is top tier is the transient Moonlight skill, this unique skill is very fast, it not only gives you the range you need and most importantly it does a lot of damage.

First things first, in order to obtain Moonveil Katana, you have to go to Gael Tunnel that located between Limb grave and Caelid. After defeating the final boss in the tunnel, you will be rewarded with the Moonveil Katana. One important thing I have to mention is I started with the warrior class when I first began playing Elden ring, so you're starting attributes better try to be similar to mine. There are four main attributes you may pay attentions are Vigor, Mind, Dexterity and Intelligence for this build. As you continue to increase your dexterity, your spell casting speed is going to increase as well, which is great because we are using spells on this build. As long as you get your faith to 25, you can utilize great incantations to help you increase your damage and defense even further.

You need at least 12 strength, 23 intelligence and 18 dexterity to use this weapon to its full potential, this weapon has two primary attacks, the light attack which is great for clearing out multiple enemies at once, and the heavy attack which works extremely well on higher HP enemies. Since it is a magic build, Carian Glintstone Staff is highly recommended to you for its s-tire intelligence scaling, also make sure you have a Sacred Seal on your build, it doesn't really matter which one you use, just make sure you have.  

For the apparel I am using the Bandit mask and the Black Knife Armor.

Then the talismans, Shard of Alexander which greatly boosts the attack power of skills. Carian Filigreed Crest, which lowers FP consumed. Green Turtle Talisman, which raises stamina recovery speed. And Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman which boosts physical damage negation.

About the incantations and spells, Golden Vow is going to give you an extra 15 offense and defense. Once you activate Flame, Grant me Strength, it gives you an additional 20 physical attack power for your build. The Spells that I recommend are actually some really good options, Carian Phalanx is a great defense spell, and it actually going to give us even more damage when we use Carian Glintstone Staff. The Night Comet is great for any enemies, because you can land every single shot for its invisibility. The regular Comet is also very good, because you can charge it and add more distance to the initial attack.
