An Elden Ring clip shows one player’s mimic blowing off some steam in a bizarre fashion. While Elden Ring is really a difficult game, it gives users lots of tools to cope with its many fearsome enemies. Gamers can summon a multitude of Spirit Ashes to arrive at their aid, plus they can also be upgraded in the Roundtable Hold.

These Spirit Ashes may be used to take aggro, giving players some much-needed space in the heat of battle. While some are superior to others, the Mimic Tear is most likely one of the most popular Spirit Ashes obtainable in Elden Ring. As the name suggests, it summons a mimic from the player, filled with their items, items, and move-set. Now, one Elden Ring fan found their mimic to become acting strangely because it looks like their partner is blowing off some steam.

A Reddit user named Oldeluke has shared a brief clip from Elden Ring featuring the bizarre actions of the mimic. The player appears to become resting inside a cave of sorts, however, their mimic is repeatedly using attacks without any enemy around the corner. It appears like the mimic is blowing off some steam by practicing their move-set, as Oldeluke is constantly on the watch, presumably in disbelief. The mimic utilizes a variety of moves within the clip including standard attacks, and weapon skills, as well as randomly deciding to roll within the middle. After a while, oldeluke seems to have had enough from the mimic tear, because they choose to send the AI partner back.

This doesn’t appear to become an isolated incident, as another fan mentions the same event took place in their playthrough of Elden Ring. The player believes the mimic is attacking the Sanguine Nobles hidden within the ground, even though the Reddit poster states have defeated all of the ones in this region. A few other gamers also ran into this incident while playing the sport, with one proclaiming that it occurred around the way to the boss combat Mohg in Elden Ring.

Some gamers within the comments section jokingly mention the mimic is practicing for PvP battles and the combat Malenia in Elden Ring. One user also speculates that Elden Ring didn't register the enemies as dead, which might explain the mimic’s actions within this clip. Regardless, the ball player oldeluke states this happened for 2 minutes until they chose to send it back.

Elden Ring can be obtained now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
