Why I Hate Farming in Terror Zone - D2R Ladder Really Needs Improvement
Oct 13, 2022

Source: MMOWTS

It's been a while since the Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder Season 2 launch, after experienced the game content today we're going to be talking about the terror zones and the Sunder charms including things like drop rates in past few weeks, how do they feel and what things I do not like the most, so let's get into it.

The Sunder charm drop rate does seem to fluctuate very highly between player counts, From my experiences, we were the very first group to start farming Terror zones. I ended up getting my first Cold Rupture, and it happened to roll perfect which was really lucky. Then there was a bug that we discovered not too far afterwards, where the Barbarian could just get a guaranteed certian drop. This was very short-lived, and was patched within hours after it was discovered next morning. But actually we did not get lots of charms from that bug according to our data, just because we were in a eight player party, our drops were already crazy.

Thus we found that it seems to be that in the terror zones, your Sunder charm drops are greatly increased by player count. For example in an eight players game where you're all forming together, the drop rate seems to be about one every 10 minutes. Now if you're farming solo, it seems like you'll get one per hour and all these numbers will depend highly on how efficient your character is at farming. Generally speaking, one charm per hour if you're playing solo, and one charm per 10 minutes if you're playing in a group. I also heard accounts of people saying they found three in an hour, and some people saying they found only one for three hours, but the overall thing is that these charms are actually not that rare.

Another thing to talk about with the terror zones is the treasure class, what does that mean? Explain it quickly, this is basically a pool of items that is chosen for the game to drop, when you're in a higher level area, good items tend to drop way more often. So basically higher player account is one of the necessary parts if you want more Sunder charms, and if you want High TC 87 items like Griffin's Eyes or Crown of Ages, what areas become terror zones is also significant.

The problems is if you were lucky enough to get one in the first place as soon as you turn on the game, but the area might not actually be that profitable to farm for the time. In other words terror zones are may not good to actually farm sometimes.

so I wanted to actually make a couple suggestions or maybe what we could do in the future. Terrorizing either multiple zones at once which is probably the better idea. In my opinion, maybe in the future version the whole Act actually can be terrorized, and people can pick the best spot for that act. I believe this update can make terror zones much more better than currently situation.

That's all I wanted to talk about, just some of the information that we've gathered so far, and some of my thoughts after playing the game. MMOWTS.com will keep updating game news and you can also fing Cheap D2R Ladder Items here.
