Today we’re talking about Season of Discovery’s Winter Veil event. With a level cap of 25, this event is much different from before.

Just like before, this is a great opportunity to get recipes that you only get once a year, some of which will be very relevant in the next phase. You also get the best-in-slot Spirit buff for your raids to run quickly in PVP.

But the most important thing is gold making potential. During this event, you can earn WOW Classic SOD Gold not only by farming event items but also by completing each mission.

Things you do at level 25 will reward you with gold based on the experience you gain along the quest route. It only takes about 45 minutes per character to earn 10 SoD WoW Gold. I’ll do this for every character. So you can easily earn over 50-60 gold with 5-6 characters.

Hopefully, this gets you excited about the event. So let’s jump in and get this event done as quickly as possible.

Farm Small Eggs

The first thing you have to do is go to Orgrimmar or Ironforge and talk to Greatfather Winter. Now Greatfather Winter will ask you to give him 5 Gingerbread Cookies. This task is very simple, but you need to prepare the materials for making cookies, namely 1 each of Holiday Spice and Small Egg. Here comes our first way to make money.

Because Small Eggs are so annoying, most people will want to buy them. The best place to farm Small Eggs in Horde is Mulgore in the northeast.

Also, if you are Alliance, I would recommend Redridge Mountains. Because you can also get Tough Condor Meat at the same time to get extra SoD Classic Gold. Darkshore is also a good option for Alliance and should be less crowded during peak hours.

Let’s say the price of Small Eggs increases slightly because players don’t really want to grow them themselves. Farming Small Eggs should yield 3-5 gold per hour. However, this does pale in comparison to the numbers.

How To Complete All Quests?

Alternatively, you can earn money by completing many tasks every hour. So once you get tired of farming Small Eggs. You can then return to Orgrimmar or Ironforge to get the cookie recipe.

These cookies can be purchased at the vendor next to Greatfather Winter. You can also be lazy like me and go to the auction house to buy 5 Gingerbread Cookies yourself. These usually cost you 6-7 Silver, and prices seem to be going up.

Once you’ve made or purchased the cookies, you can also go to the vendor and buy a glass of Ice Cold Milk. You must then turn in these items at Greatfather Winter to complete the quest.

I returned to the vendor and found two more tasks. The first quest you can take is Free Metzen and Preserved Holly, which is on Tanaris or Searing Gorge. The second mission is to kill Abominable Greench.

Let’s start with Metzen the Reindeer. So we flew directly to Tanaris. I suggest you keep swimming on the east side until you find Andre Firebeard.

There is a stable here with Metzen and Reindeer inside. I recommend opening Satchel so you can get Pouch of Reindeer Dust, otherwise Metzen won’t talk to you. We need to talk to Metzen now and click on the dialog box options to complete the task.

I will then teleport back to Orgrimmar or Ironforge, and turning in that quest will give you 3 gold. At this point, I take Zeppelin to Undercity, which should only take about 15 minutes.

After arriving at Hillsbrad Foothills, I invited a few people to join the group, such as Hunter and Shaman. If you want to kill Abominable Greench, I highly recommended it to have at least one healer and one physical DPS.

The important part of killing Abominable Greench is that you have to go to Strange Snowman first. He’s the one who actually gives you quest and gives you reward after talking to them.

It’s definitely a tough and challenging battle. So, after killing Abominable Greench and looting his food, don’t be afraid to invite anyone you see nearby.

You then simply return to Orgrimmar or Ironforge to turn in the quest which will give you extra gold and a follow-up to Greatfather Winter.

Winter Veil Rewards

The total reward for completing all these tasks is approximately 10 SoD Classic Gold and Smokywood Pastures Special Gift. This will be valuable in the next phase.
