We can only find Big Iron Fishing Pole in one location in Azeroth, a remote area off the coast of Desolace. Since Desolace is an area containing level 30 to 40 enemies. So it’s difficult to traverse this area without encountering some relatively tough mobs, let alone farming one of its most enemy-heavy areas.

Since the character level cap in Season of Discovery Phase 1 is 25, if you encounter any enemies while Desolace is trying to capture Big Iron Fishing Pole, you will be defeated almost easily. So be prepared to die at any time and be prepared to invest a lot of time in getting this Fishing Pole.

Still, if you’re a brave enough person who thinks you can successfully catch a Fishing Pole in this hostile environment, you’ll want to be prepared for the long ordeal.

We can find Fishing Pole in Shellfish Traps in the underwater area south of Shadowprey Village in Desolace. I also recommend marking nearby mobs so you can keep an eye out for any potential interference. For highly mobile classes, also make sure you have any movement spells available in case Makrura spawns at your location.

You need to be very careful in this area, as there are tons of Crawlers and Crustacean enemies roaming the ocean floor, and they can kill your character with ease.

In addition, Shellfish Traps may contain randomly generated enemies, causing you to take direct damage. Most creatures in Desolace’s Sar’theris Strand are between level 33 and 36, which means you’ll often be fighting for your life.
